The company was founded in 2003 drawing on the thirty-year experience of its founders in the field of woodworking machines. SARMAX immediately attracted the attention of market operators with new proposals that over the years have enabled it to innovate with applied technological solutions, partly patenting its products.

Later it specialized in the production of machinery and systems for the processing of wooden elements for carpentry, soon becoming a leading company on the international market. Ease of use, conceptual innovations, and reliability characterize the entire range of the machines produced. In 2013, reflecting the strong leadership of the company, Sarmax acquired the trademark UNIHOLZ, an international leader in the production of perforating machinery and insertion machines.

With the aim of achieving even greater market shares, Sarmax constantly offers innovative solutions both for types of processing and for manufacturing processes to provide development tools and continuous improvement in quality to its customers.
